Dangerous Acts After Meal
Do not drink tea: Your elders might have told you not to drink tea subsequent to completing a food. Even though, tea has its own benefits and when talking about diffusing cardiovascular problems, the polyphenols that are present in this beverage, will make it difficult for your body for absorbing the iron content that is present in the foods that you have recently consumed. In addition, the acid content present in the tea can also interfere with the proteins that are present in the foods consumed just before. So, for making sure that you get the iron and protein content from your foods, it is recommended not to consume tea after completing your food consumption.
Do not take a shower or bath: For proper digestion of foods consumed, it is essential that the flow of blood should be stimulated towards your stomach. On the other hand, when you bath immediately subsequent to completing a meal, exactly the opposite thing will happen. It will divert the flow of blood towards your feet and hands. This will bring about an ill effect on the process of digestion thereby leading to several health issues. So, experts are of the opinion that there should be a minimum of half an hour gap after completing your food consumption before going to bath.
Do not sleep: Gravity plays an important role and when you lie down, the digestive juices will flow away from the stomach thereby causing intestinal inflammation. This is the reason behind feeling a burning sensation if people sleep immediately after completing their meals. Also, when you sleep immediately, an additional pressure will be given to the diaphragm.
Do not walk:
It is an age old belief that if you walk immediately after your consumption, you can improve your digestive process. Even though, it is true that walking can be helpful in burning of energy, if it is done immediately after completing your food consumption, it will lead to acid reflux thereby preventing your digestive juices from absorbing the nutritional content of your meals.
Do not eat fruits: Even though, fruits can provide many benefits, they can provide ill effects to your body when consumed immediately after your meals. This is because fruits can slow down the process of your foods to reach the intestines.
